According to the National Education Policy, there will be universalization of education from pre-school to secondary school with 100% GER in school education by 2030. We know that earlier the pattern of 10 + 2 was followed but now according to the new education policy the pattern of 5 + 3 + 3 + 4 will be followed. This National Education Policy was included in the manifesto of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the 2014 general election.
💥 New education policy :
To increase the quality of teachers, a number of provisions have been made in the new education policy. Changes will also be made in the format of Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) in the new school education system. The TET exam had two parts - Part 1 and Part 2. But now the structure of the schooling system will be divided into four parts - Foundation, Preparatory, Middle and Secondary. The pattern of TET will also be set based on it. The NTA test scores in TET or related subjects can also be checked at the time of recruitment of subject teachers. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the examination of all subjects and the Common Aptitude Test.
New Education Policy 2020 - Many major changes have been made in the education policy from schooling to higher education. There will now be only one regulator for higher education. Earlier studies will not be useless if you miss the studies. A certificate will be given on completion of one year of studies and a diploma certificate on two years of studies.
💥 MPhil ends in new policy :
After the implementation of the new education policy, now students will do graduation, post graduation and directly PhD after that. A 4-year graduation degree program can be followed by an MA and then a PhD directly without an M.Phil.
💥 UGC, NCTE and AICTE to end; Regulatory body to be formed :
The era of UGC AICTE is over. Higher Education Secretary Amit Khare said that UGC, AICTE, NCTE will be a regulator in higher education. The process of affiliation with universities will be completely abolished in 15 years by giving colleges autonomy (Graded Otonami).
💥 Common exam offer to colleges :
Under the new education policy, a Common Entrance Exam will be offered for admission to higher educational institutions. It will not be mandatory for the institute. The National Examination Agency will conduct this examination.
💥 There will be a mechanism to control the fees of schools and colleges :
Khare said that higher educational institutions will get approval on the basis of online self-declaration. The current Inspector Raj will end. At present, there are different rules for Central University, State University, Deemed University and Private University. In future all rules will be made equal. A mechanism to control the fees will also be devised.
💥 Permission for foreign university to open campus in India and expand scholarship portal :
The new education policy will allow foreign universities to open campuses in India. Experts say that with this students of India will be able to get admission in the best institutes and universities in the world. They will not have to go abroad.
💥 Children up to the fifth grade will study in their mother tongue or regional language :
In the new education policy, many big things have been done to reduce the stress of children and to provide maximum convenience to the students. Education will be provided in the mother tongue only up to class V and up to eighth as far as possible.
💥 Skill development from class six :
Skill development will be promoted in students from class six onwards. Vocational courses will be started specifically for this. For this, its interested students will be given internship from class VI onwards. In addition, music and art will be promoted. These will be implemented in the course.
💥 E-course in eight languages :
Education Secretary informed that in addition to Hindi and English languages, there will be e-courses in eight regional languages. The program of Virtual Lab will be carried forward. Along with this, there are also plans to create a National Education Technology Forum. Education will be promoted in PwDs through technology. There has been talk of sexual education fund for girls. School Education Secretary Anita Karwal told that the National Curriculum has been 15 years since 2005 and now a new curriculum will come. Similarly, it has been 11 years in the curriculum of teacher education, it will also be improved.
💥 Similar rules were made for private and government higher education institutions :
Changing the structure of the old policy to 10 + 2 (up to class X, then up to class XII), the framework of 5 + 3 + 3 + 4 has been implemented in the new policy. For this, the age limit has been set at 3-8 years, 8-11 years, 11-14 years and 14-18 years respectively. M.Phil has been abolished and similar rules have been made for private and government higher education institutions
